Damn, Luis Vuitton and bike polo? Never would have thought I’d see this combination. LV collaborated with Hannes Hengst and Grégory Barbier on the collection of parts and I must say that they look great and compliment the bike well. LV’s interest in creating this bike came from an Intersection Magazine spread from 2008 that I marveled at where they put bike polo up next to horse polo. So, this bike that they developed is actually fixed gear and brakeless like the old ways of bike polo because now players use brakes and a freewheel. Though it does make the bike appear to be more streamlined it is not practical for today’s play. Nonetheless, the bike looks rad and I am glad that polo got such recognition for a huge brand like LV.
